Nicolas Guarnotta is the French born Founding Principal of New Ground. First trained as an Industrial Designer, Nicolas went on to study at the La Villette School of Architecture in Paris – where he earned a mention of Excellence for his work. His formative years, post graduation, were chiseled by Christian de Portzamparc and Jean Nouvel, two Pritzker Award winning Architects.

Nicolas’ professional experience has extensively been in France and China where he has worked with leading international practices on a variety of projects at different sizes and scales including high-rises, mixed-use developments, office complexes, conference centers, and hotels.

Since 2012, Nicolas teaches and gives lectures at JiaoTong University Architecture department.

Nicolas Guarnotta 出生于法国，是法国纽格建筑设计事务所团队的创始人。起初以工业设计师的身份接受训练，之后在巴黎拉维莱特建筑学院深造，期间，其作品曾获得优秀奖。在求学期间及毕业之后，他曾师从于两位普利兹克建筑奖获得者——著名的建筑大师克里斯蒂安·德·波特赞姆巴克以及让·努维尔。

Nicolas的专业经验已广泛应用于法国和中国的多项建筑中，凭借领先的国际经验，他曾设计包括高层建筑、混用住宅区、综合写字楼、会展中心和酒店在内的、规模不一、形态各异的各类项目。
 
自2012以来，Nicolas一直在北方交通大学教学并演讲专题讲座。
