Overview

This VR demonstration center was imagined for the Shanxi Science Museum, organized as a ring of themed halls wrapped around one central room. Visitors arrive through the purple-lit Entrance Hall, where a reception counter, info-pods and a bank of trailer screens introduce the experiences on offer.

From there, the plan opens onto the Courses Hall at its heart — a circular room ringed by individual seated VR stations facing inward, with illuminated photographs of Shanxi's own heritage sites on the walls behind them. Wrapped around this central hall are four further spaces: the Safety Education Hall and the Multiplayers Hall, where visitors in headsets share an open floor marked out by floating ring lights and glass railings, on one side, and the VR Flight Hall and VR Cars Hall on the other, each lined with rows of motion-seat simulators facing their own screens.

The whole sequence is choreographed from the Entrance Hall outward, so that visitors move from shared orientation, to the collective Courses Hall, to the more individual, immersive experiences at the center's edges.
