深圳酷派 · Concept design — Coolpad Group
A landmark tower, image of the Group, signals the entrance of the complex. Its vertical metal-fin facade is cut by a horizontal notch partway up the shaft, within which two vertical notches reveal full-height panes of glass, with the Coolpad logo lit in red near the crown. At night the fins are washed in blue light and the podium and forecourt glow in warm light beside a long reflecting pool, turning the tower into the campus's landmark by night as much as by day.
Behind it, all the different offices, R&D, and services buildings are articulated around a large central park — a landscaped spine of water channels and tree-lined walks running the length of the site, with sports grounds and parking set along its edges. The facades are all different, in green roofs, red brick, timber-toned screens and glass, although playing with some common elements, creating a cityscape feeling. Each building contains a full-height green atrium.
The scheme was developed at concept design stage in 2011 for the Coolpad Group, across a 300,000 sqm campus in Shenzhen.
